Fall Study Abroad Program in Budapest (Sept-Dec)

This exciting fall program lets students experience the beautiful and historic city of Budapest while earning credit at Corvinus University. Corvinus University was founded in 1920 and is accredited by the Hungarian ministry of education. The program provides studies in business, economics, society and cultures of Central and East European countries.  The courses include business, marketing, history and culture. Students can choose to study four to five courses.

  • Arrival Days: August 26-27
  • Orientation Day: August 28
  • Enrolment Week: August 28-September 1
  • Opening Ceremony: September 1    
  • Classes start: September 4
  • 2 day trip to Vienna, Austria - September
  • 2 day trip to Krakow, Poland - November
  • End of classes: December 22
  • Departure dates: December 23-24

  • Each course = 6 ECTS or 3 US credits

International Excursions

 Vienna, Austria: Students will explore the beautiful historical center of the city including Stephansdom and the Hofburg. A tour inside the Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence tops off the excursion
Krakow, Poland: Students will explore the historical center of Krakow including the old town square and market and tour of the Wawel castle area. Just outside the city, students visit the world famous Salt mine Wieliczka and its beautiful salt carvings. Finally, students will journey to the infamous former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz

There is a $95 USD non-refundable application fee to apply for the program. 
Fees can be paid in USD or by credit card in any currency upon request.

Admission Requirements

  • Application deadline: April 14th (Contact us for late applications)
  • The program accepts both graduate and undergraduate students
  • The student must have at least a 2.5 grade point average on a scale of 4.0 or an equivalent good standing at the home university
  • Admission is based on the student’s university transcript, application and English language knowledge
  • It is required that a student applying for admission must have at least one year (2 semesters) finished at his/her university

Visa information
Since the duration of the semester program is more than 90 days, all students without an EU passport need to apply for a visa

 Housing in Budapest

Students are housed in nice accommodation at the Földes Ferenc Kollégium (Corvinus Dormitory) dorm within walking distance of the university. The dorm has been totally reconstructed. There is a community kitchen for cooking and socializing and a laundry room. Rooms have an attached bathroom with a shower.
